As Baron Giovanni Paolo Quintieri, the last heir of the Casalis Family, had no children, he bequethed the estate to the “Paolo Colosimo” Institution for the blind in Naples. During the rather long period of time elapsing between Barone Quintieri’s death in 1970, and the completion of the long burocratic formalities, the Campania Region Authorities, through their State Property Office, worked and carried out a plan of modernization and improvement of the land, in order to keep up with Montecoriolano glorious viticultural traditions and heritage.
